я не большой фанат Elie Saab, и вообще в этой коллекции одни коктейльные длинные платья, но детальки! ткани! ААА!

с чего начать сегодняшний флуд: со своих туфель или с не своих платьев?

меня весьма тронуло:
The Devil is in the Details: Why look closer at Sherlock?
Details work is one of those things that people think, “why on earth would anyone do that?” but without this kind of focus on the ephemera of culture we would loose so much of the feel of culture. For instance, this piece, barely shown in the show, made by someone who is probably not one of the writers, meant to be a prop that goes virtually unseen.
However, there has been evidence that the producers of the show are more than a little aware of fan culture, so this item is made both to not be seen by most and to be seen by a few. It suddenly reveals the character in an intimate way. Lets observe:
1. The format of the resume is bland (very similar to the blog BBC set up). The langue is traditional and his assertions revolve around his reliability.
2. He does Laparoscopic surgery, which as Wikipedia tells us is “also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS), bandaid surgery, keyhole surgery is a modern surgical technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions (usually 0.5–1.5 cm) as compared to the larger incisions needed in laparotomy.”
This stuff is fairly cutting edge, it also take a very sure hand, something more than just a dependable doctor. You need a fairly brilliant one. We know from the show that he’s over qualified for the position. Adding these two things together you can see the two parts of Watson’s character that are at odds with one another.
He says in the pilot, that nothing ever happens to him, but that assertion comes right after the scene where he dreams of being shelled in Afghanistan.
This makes an interesting point. So many fans look to Sherlock as a character that is at war with himself. He doesn’t allow himself to love, he’s self destructive, unable to express emotion. But John, is so much more divided. He both loves the danger and hates it. He is struggling much more vividly in the text to return to a normalcy that he despises. While the show is called Sherlock, the real story is actually John’s story.
