| when derek hale is released from prison, he plans to celebrate his freedom with a bang. he violates his parole first to visit beacon hills, where he finds his closest friend and partner in crime, stiles stilinski. derek has big plans to rob three of the grandest casinos in las vegas: the mirage, the MGM grand, and the bellagio. they decide to go to las vegas right away to find the benefactor for their operation, peter hale. peter is a wealthy ex-casino owner with serious concerns about the plan that derek presents him with, but his interest is piqued when he finds out that all three hotels are owned by gerard argent, peter’s long-time business rival. peter agrees to help and helps derek and stiles begin their plan to steal $150 million dollars. derek and stiles begin their recruitments for their team: jackson whittemore, a charismatic con-man making a living working in casinos; isaac lahey and vernon boyd, who are two very gifted mechanics; lydia martin, explosives expert; danny mahealani, who specializes in electronics and surveilliance technology; scott mccall, a young but talented pick-pocket and thief; chris argent, the son of gerard argent who turned to a life of conning after his father disowned him, and his daughter allison, a seasoned acrobat and contortionist. as the gang begins their preparations for the heist, derek is presented with a challenge he never thought to anticipate: his ex-wife, kate argent, is gerard’s daughter, and she’s in town. stiles tries to encourage derek to stop his plans for the robbery, because he knows what kate’s presence does to derek, but derek is adament in following through. and, just like that, the heist becomes personal— and when things get personal, they also get very, very dangerous. “stiles, you walked away with thirteen million dollars. why did you drive this piece of crap jeep cross-country to pick me up?” “this piece of crap jeep is my baby, derek. besides, i blew all of the thirteen million on this suit. you like?” (x) |
